Find dropshippers for synthetic fabrics through the Esources supplier directory. Synthetic fabrics have a high market demand. Dropshippers source materials to designers, dressmakers, and individuals. Chiffons, georgettes, gabardine, and other types of synthetic fabrics are very much in demand. Synthetic fabrics are lightweight, fast drying, and tough.
Many types of synthetic fabrics, such as acetate, imitate the appearance of natural fabrics like silk. Acrylic fabric is usually a replacement for wool, while nylon is known for its antiwrinkle texture. However, if you are a small dealer-as a dropship reseller usually is-it could be difficult to directly negotiate with mills. Manufacturers are rarely agreeable to dropshipping arrangements. Another drawback is that the raw fabric is just off the looms, so to speak. The printing, embroidery, and other embellishments come later. If the manufacturer is feeling a little more helpful, they will probably direct you to a converter or their dealer.
Converter: A converter or printer buys raw fabric from a manufacturer and dyes or prints it. They may also add finish to the fabric. This is the best place to look for a variety of designs and enhancements, and the printers may be more willing to negotiate lower volume orders.
Dealers: Dealers take stock off the hands of manufacturers and printers, locate markets for them, and sell them to retail stores, designers, and other buyers. Dealers and wholesalers often purchase liquidated stocks; therefore, you may be able to create a workable dropshipping arrangement with them.
Liquidators and wholesale dealers: Wholesale dealers and stock liquidators specialize in sourcing low-priced products from retail stores, manufacturers, dealers, auction clearances, warehouses, and other sources. They usually sell stocks in pallets. Many wholesalers and liquidators also offer dropship arrangements. Working with them is perhaps the easiest way to start a dropship business, but don’t let that stop you from looking at the other sources of synthetic fabrics mentioned here.
